A Light Show Celebration

06 December 2023

At the conclusion of a season marked by a notable triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a captivating light display has been orchestrated at the Maranello factory. Chairman John Elkann conveyed that the spectacle is dedicated to 'the women and men of Ferrari who make the extraordinary possible, and our worldwide Ferrari family who make our Company unique.'

In the chairman's words, it is 'a journey through light, sounds, and images that mirrors the essence of who we are, applauds our triumphs, and envisions a more promising future.' Several iconic structures provide the canvas for light projections that convey the distinctive character of a company comprising over 5,000 individuals.

The spectacle involves four hundred pieces of equipment, including moving head lights, projectors, and LED light bars, creating a stage set that spans over a kilometer. This luminous experience will be presented daily until the conclusion of the year-end festivities.

Videos of historically significant models, such as the debutant 125 S in 1947 and the triumphant return of the two 499Ps, winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, are projected onto the brick arch framing the historic entranceway.

Proceeding along Viale Enzo Ferrari, aglow in red, one reaches the former paint shop tower, temporarily transformed into a large screen adorned with the values emblematic of the Prancing Horse: Individual and Team; Tradition and Innovation; Passion and Achievement.

Subsequent buildings showcase highlights of the year, featuring the faces of workers contributing to the company's identity in Racing, Sports Cars, and Lifestyle. The Wind Tunnel, envisioned by Renzo Piano, symbolizes technological innovation with aerodynamic flows replicated on its surface by colored beams.

The journey seamlessly transitions to the next chapter of Ferrari's history, illuminating the 'e-building' set to be inaugurated in June at the heart of the new 100,000 square meter area under construction.

In crafting this event, sustainability took center stage, adhering to the most stringent energy-saving standards.
